John Keith

About:

Dr. John A. Keith, III is a native of Florence, South Carolina. He and Amanda are the proud parents of Isabella who is in the 3rd grade at All Saints’.

Education:

Dr. Keith received his B.S. in Chemistry from Howard University as well as his M.D. from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Duke University in Durham, NC. In 2019 and continued on to receive an Honorary Doctorate degree in Humanities from Francis Marion University.

Career:

Dr. Keith is a practicing Pediatrician in his 25th year at Eastern Carolina Pediatric Associates in Florence and Darlington, SC. He served as Chief of Pediatrics at Carolinas Hospital System from 2010-2014 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at USC School of Medicine Columbia. In his spare time Dr. Keith has also worked as a developer and has been instrumental in revitalizing multiple properties in downtown Florence and is responsible for the Florence Police Department Substation in downtown, WBTW TV-13 office space, ChocoBella, and many other properties in the Historic District.
