A Message From the Head of School

Dear All Saints' Families,

As we reach the halfway point of the first 9 weeks, I am excited to reflect on the fantastic start to our school year! We held our first Touch-A-Truck event last week, and our students had a blast exploring the 18 different trucks on display, thanks to the participation of 14 local companies. A huge thank you to the Parent Guild and all the volunteers who worked hard to ensure the event ran smoothly. Your support made this experience memorable for our students!

This year marks the 65th anniversary of All Saints', and we have some exciting events planned to celebrate this milestone! We will kick off our celebrations with the 65th Anniversary Gala on March 14, 2025, an evening of celebration and community. Additionally, towards the end of the school year, we will be hosting an All Saints' Golf Tournament. Reaching this incredible milestone is a significant accomplishment, and we look forward to celebrating together as an All Saints’ community!

In light of recent events in Georgia, I want to remind everyone that safety is our top priority at school. All Saints’ is truly blessed to be in a wonderful community; however, no one is immune to potential dangers. We are grateful to Parent Guild for installing the storefront over the summer, creating a true foyer for our guests as they enter the building. Additionally, the updated landscaping and fencing at the front of the campus not only enhances its aesthetics but also provides an extra layer of security. Alongside our current safety protocols, we are committed to researching best practices to effectively meet the needs of All Saints' and remain vigilant in our efforts.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your continued support and a wonderful school year.

Sincerely,

M. Evan Powell

Exploring Nature: 2nd Grade Field Trip to Black Creek Wildlife Center

Our All Saints' 2nd graders had a fantastic time on their first field trip to Black Creek Wildlife Center! They are currently studying animal characteristics and adaptations specific to different environments. During the trip, they worked on categorizing animals into five distinct groups, bringing their classroom learning to life in an exciting and hands-on way. It was an enriching experience that sparked curiosity and encouraged their understanding of wildlife.

5K Class Shines in Morning Meetings: Building Leadership and Community

In Mrs. Byrd's 5K class, Cassady McCormick took the lead during their calendar time this morning, showcasing her growing leadership skills and confidence. As they worked on the days of the week and the calendar date, it was clear they are making great strides in both their learning and personal development. Morning Meetings are a fantastic way to start the day by building community and setting a positive tone. Each day begins with a greeting to foster connection, a class message to outline the day's goals and activities, and a read-aloud to discuss social and emotional skills. This routine helps students feel valued, prepared, and ready to engage.
