Math Facts Requirements

At All Saints’ Episcopal Day School, we believe that strong foundational skills in mathematics are essential for future success. Students in grades 1 through 6 are expected to master basic math facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as appropriate for their grade level.

To support this goal, students are assessed weekly to monitor progress and ensure fluency. These regular assessments continue until mastery is achieved. Mastery means that a student can recall math facts quickly and accurately, without hesitation.

This focus on fact fluency allows students to tackle higher-level math concepts with confidence and ease. Families are encouraged to support daily practice at home to reinforce learning and build speed and accuracy. Please see the documents below for grade level expectations and printable tests.
