Crusaders’ Chat is a time for students to have meaningful conversations with an adult to develop the emotional well-being of the student. Small student groups are assigned to a teacher who will serve as an advocate for those students. Meetings will be held on a regularly set schedule. It is the goal of the teacher to support students, learn about students outside of the classroom, and to share information about themselves, establishing a warm accepting atmosphere for open communication. It is a time to listen nonjudgmentally to what students have to say and to help them focus on solutions to problems, concerns, or ideas they may have.
